Curtis Brands LLC/DBA Curtis & Company Apparel, founded and designed by Angelica Curtis, is dedicated to reshaping manufacturing practices in the fashion industry. Recognizing the challenges associated with traditional apparel production, we have committed to producing the collection in the USA, allowing the team to be hands-on and prioritize ethical, quality-driven processes. By partnering with local vendors in Los Angeles, we are able to reinvest business resources back into our communities.
Angelica Curtis Collection is a quality line of designer fashion that embodies a feminine, chic aesthetic crafted for the sophisticated, modern woman. Featuring tops, bottoms, dresses, and outerwear, each piece is made from carefully selected fabrics—including soft knits, vibrant prints, and flowing woven materials. Our small-batch production model allows us to offer custom sizing and adjustments to existing styles, ensuring every client experiences a perfect, personalized fit—because your fit should feel as good as it looks.
Curtis & Company Apparel got its start in a garage converted into a design studio by Angelica Curtis’s mother, who fully supported her dream of the company. Over the years, the company headquarters moved from a garage to an apartment dining room until it was relocated to its first commercial space in 2020, where it now calls home in Hawthorne CA.
This small, black-owned business is proud to be a leader in ethical manufacturing and making a positive impact on the fashion industry—transforming how apparel is manufactured today and into the future.
Giving back is part of our DNA: we contribute our creative skills to causes like the Pause 4 Peace Foundation, designing promotional materials to help amplify their impact on youth and families in the digital space.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Where It All Started
Designer Angelica Marie Curtis was born and raised in Long Beach, California, where she developed a love for sewing at an early age. Her creative spark first ignited when she began making clothes for her dolls, using any fabric she could find. As she honed her craft, it became clear that her passion for design would shape her future—fashion was in her soul.
Fashion Career
Angelica’s journey into the world of fashion began with her studies at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, where she graduated in 2006 with a degree in Fashion Design. She took her first steps in the industry as an intern at BCBG, and within just a few years, she advanced from Assistant Designer to Associate Designer for various private label manufactures. Throughout her career, Angelica’s designs have been sold to major retailers such as Forever 21, Macy’s, Dillard’s, and Kohl’s.
Owning Her Own Brand
A dream of Angelica’s has always been to create her own fashion label. Determined to master her craft, she spent years working after hours and showcasing her designs at local fashion shows. Recognizing the importance of understanding the business side of fashion, she took her time—waiting 10 years to officially launch her brand. Now, Curtis Brands LLC has made its mark, with Angelica Curtis Collection being worn by celebrities like singer Ashanti, featured in Cosmopolitan Mx, and gracing the cover of Alpha Fashion Magazine.
